Each of our trainers bring with them a breadth of experience, career acumen, and a passion for education. We started Method Aesthetics Academy with the goal of helping the industry improve, which is why we’re proud to provide the kind of hands-on educational experience that was missing from so many other certification programs. Simply put, we have an intrinsic love for aesthetics, and we’re ready to train the next generation of experts!
Brittany Perez, DNP, FNP-C
Brittany is experienced in a wide range of injectables and skin treatments, including PDO threads! She believes that you should find a niche you’re interested in, and truly invest in it with meaning and purpose. She found her own niche in improving patients’ skin concerns and helping them regain their confidence, and she can’t wait to help her students do the same! Her years of experience have taught her that once set yourself apart and build relationships, the business will come to you.
Brittany has experiene working at Gulf Coast Plastic Surgery and its affiliated site, The Skin Care Center. She began her career as a surgical nurse at Baptist Hospital, while also working as a clinical instructor for Pensacola State College’s nursing program. In 2014, she joined Gulf Coast Plastic Surgery as the practice’s clinical director. In 2023 Brittany went on to open her own medical aesthetics practice, MĒLA Medical Spa in Pensacola Florida! Her expertise across numerous aesthetic treatment modalities has made it easy for her to pass on her knowledge to the next generation of injectors.
Brittany earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of West Florida and went on to complete her master’s in nursing education from Western Governors University. After graduating, she would later go on to achieve her family nurse practitioner degree from the University of South Alabama. In addition to her work with Method Aesthetics Academy, she was selected by Allergan to be a speaker and trainer on the uses of their various products, like BOTOX®.
Katie Reber, FNP-C
Katie has been practicing medicine for over a decade, having entered aesthetics during her last semester of nurse practitioner school. Working in the industry was always dream job of hers, which she achieved shortly after graduation, and she now enjoys helping her students reach their own goals. One of her favorite aspects of the industry is that there’s always something new to discover. She’s loves learning about new techniques and products and sharing that knowledge with her students.
Katie initially worked on the medical-surgical floor of Baptist Hospital, where she gained experience working with patients of all ages and medical needs. It was at the hospital where she learned how to truly connect with patients, a skill she also employs in the classroom. A member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Katie worked for The Skin Care Center at Gulf Coast Plastic Surgery, where she regularly performed injectables, PDO threads, CoolSculpting, laser treatments, and more. Katie now co-owns MĒLA Medical Spa with Brittany in Pensacola.
After earning her registered nursing degree from Pensacola State College in 2011, Katie went back to school to complete her Bachelor’s in nursing from Western Governors University. Her love for learning and growing in the industry led her to achieve a master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from Simmons University, where she graduated magna cum laude.
Jacqueline McFadden, RN, MSN, FNP-BC
Jacqueline McFadden, RN, MSN, FNP-BC comes to Method Aesthetics Academy with over 15 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner. She has worked in many different areas of the healthcare industry, including Emergency Medicine, Immediate care, Internal Medicine as well as the Aesthetics Industry. Jacqueline aims to provide an interactive teaching environment where students can have hands-on training, maximize their learning ability all while feeling comfortable and challenged at the same time. Jacqueline knows the key to injecting is learning a variety of techniques while making it unique to your own style and maintaining the upmost safety. The goal is to have fun, learn all that you can and connect with fellow injectors … but always remember, Safety first!
Jacqueline has been an Aesthetic cosmetic injector for several years, with expertise in dermal fillers, neurotoxins, facial procedures, microneedling, medical grade skin care products and Kybella. Jacqueline not only focuses on helping clients feel their best, but she strives to boost their confidence and enhance their natural beauty. Jacqueline lives in Nashville, TN with her Husband, toddler and their Frenchie named Newman. She currently works at Vanderbilt and Invigorate Health in TN. While attending Belmont, she was a collegiate athlete in cheerleading and was also the cheer captain! She is currently getting a new aesthetics location up and running in Clarksville,TN as well through Invigorate health!
Jacqueline studied nursing at Belmont university in Nashville, TN in 2004. She would later work at the Vanderbilt Pediatric ER, where she found her first passion in life and how to not only connect with patients but families as well. She then went back to get her masters degree at Belmont university where she graduated with honors in 2012 as a board certified family nurse practitioner.
Our Medical Director: Kyle Shaddix, Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Shaddix, our medical director, is one of only a few double board-certified plastic surgeons in Pensacola. His substantial operative experience and world-class training have prepared him to offer the latest cutting-edge techniques in plastic surgery. He is conscientious and always places utmost emphasis on patient safety.
After completion of his general surgery residency, Dr. Shaddix was fortunate to be chosen to complete his fellowship in plastic surgery at the prestigious Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. There he received some of the best and most innovative cosmetic training available in the country. He was mentored by pioneers in the fields of facial aesthetic surgery and body contouring as well as several members of the group of surgeons that actually invented the breast implant. This rich experience supplied Dr. Shaddix with the skills necessary to fully address the cosmetic needs of his patients. Dr. Shaddix now owns and operates Shaddix Plastic Surgery in Pensacola Florida.
Dr. Shaddix spent his childhood years between Texas and Georgia before completing his undergraduate education at the University of Georgia. From there, he graduated with honors in three majors in the biological sciences while pursuing additional studies to refine his artistic capabilities. After being accepted to numerous medical schools, he elected to attend the Medical College of Georgia on a full academic scholarship where he discovered his passion for surgery. Dr. Shaddix then pursued his general surgery training at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic. During his time at Mayo Clinic, he authored numerous publications and produced research which was presented at meetings across the United States and internationally, including the esteemed American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
