How Does Shadowing Work?
Experience the business side of operating an aesthetics clinic and spend the entire day with our talented providers. For Moxie students, all you have to do is schedule your three-day shadowing session with our experts to gain the hours necessary for your program — don’t forget to use your code at checkout! For all other students who are interested in shadowing, to book your shadowing days, simply select one, two, or three days that are available in the calendar and add them to your cart. Once you check out, Katie and Brittany will follow up with you to discuss the details of your shadowing session.
During your session, you’ll get a taste for the industry by shadowing Katie and Brittany at their practice, MĒLA Medical Spa in Pensacola! This is the perfect opportunity to experience the business aspect of running a practice, gain insight into day-to-day operations, witness a variety of procedures, observe how providers handle different situations, and listen to real patient concerns and questions! Best of all, Brittany and Katie will always be available to you afterwards to provide continuous mentoring and to answer all your questions!

Meet the Trainers You’ll Shadow With!
We started Method Aesthetics Academy with the goal of helping the industry improve, which is why we’re proud to provide the kind of hands-on educational experience that was missing from so many other certification programs. Simply put, we have an intrinsic love for aesthetics, and we’re ready to train the next generation of experts!
Brittany is experienced in a wide range of injectables and skin treatments, including PDO threads! She believes that you should find a niche you’re interested in, and truly invest in it with meaning and purpose. She found her own niche in improving patients’ skin concerns and helping them regain their confidence, and she can’t wait to help her students do the same! Her years of experience have taught her that once you set yourself apart and build relationships, the business will come to you.
Experience and Areas of Expertise
Brittany began her career as a surgical nurse at Baptist Hospital while she was also working as a clinical instructor for Pensacola State College’s nursing program. In 2014, she joined Gulf Coast Plastic Surgery as the practice’s clinical director. Her expertise across numerous aesthetic treatment modalities has made it easy for her to pass on her knowledge to the next generation of injectors. With experience working at a plastic surgery clinic, Brittany’s areas of expertise include filler, PDO threads, and full facial balancing.

Katie has been practicing medicine for over a decade, having entered aesthetics during her last semester of nurse practitioner school. Working in the industry was always a dream job of hers, which she achieved shortly after graduation, and she now enjoys helping her students reach their own goals. One of her favorite aspects of the industry is that there’s always something new to discover. She loves learning about new techniques and products and sharing that knowledge with her students.
Experience and Areas of Expertise
Katie began working on the medical-surgical floor of Baptist Hospital, where she gained experience working with patients of all ages and medical needs. It was at the hospital that she learned how to truly connect with patients, a skill she employs in the classroom. She specializes in tox, lip fillers, laser treatments, and skin resurfacing!
